Retired Lt. Col. Robert Maginnis predicted a “general rebellion” against Russian President Vladimir Putin Wednesday on “Your World with Neil Cavuto.”
LT. COL. MAGINNIS: He’s been obsessing, Neil, for the past six years about performing exactly what he’s accomplishing now. … He said, “Look, I want” – and he’s designed this incredibly public – “I want to reconfigure, to bring back again into the fold” what he referred to as “New Russia.” Now that dates back to Catherine II in the 18th century, which bundled all that land from Moldova all the way to Russia … all belonged to the Russian Empire. And so he has been stating this for several years. And he also has been declaring anybody [who] disagrees with him is a fascist and a Nazi. And so … this is not some thing new for him. He’s extremely unpredictable. He’s going to push his generals. He’s heading to arrest people in his own family [who] you should not collaborate and cooperate with him. And he is seriously concentrated on redoing the matters that he is been asserting for decades and years.
…
I do consider that there is a escalating instability in the Russian Federation by itself because of the Ukrainian information and facts operations, which are staying quite successful. And I will guarantee you when the mothers [who] have all those young conscript troopers [who] have been killed or taken captive by the Ukrainians get started to come across out the fact of what this gentleman has carried out to their sons and in a couple situations, their daughters – there will be a standard uprising from Mr. Putin, but he’ll push back.
